Leversets are becoming the most popular choice, and sometimes required for commercial applications. By simply pushing down or pulling up on the lever itself, the latch is withdrawn and the door may be opened. They are very easy to use for children, and the elderly. They are available in various functions, designs, and finishes.

Halsco Grade 1 Lever Sets are designed for use in high traffic and abusive situations. The lock chassis are constructed with cast retractors on bronze roller bearings, optional removable inner posts, clutched freewheeling levers, and spring loaded roses to prevent lever sag, and have a 3 Hour UL/ULC fire rating.

Halsco Grade 2 Lever Sets are designed for use in situations where durability is the deciding factor. The lock chassis are constructed with cast retractors on bronze roller bearings, optional removable thru-bolts, and have a 3 Hour UL/ULC fire rating.

LSDA Grade 1 Lever Sets are designed for extra heavy-duty commercial buildings, such as schools, hospitals, factories and other public buildings. They feature cast and machined stainless steel hubs with heat-treated heavy-gauge cold rolled steel spindles which withstand 1000” pounds of torque, the heavy-duty return springs cycle tested 1,000,000 times with NO lever sag, and have a 3 Hour UL/ULC fire rating.

LSDA Grade 2 Lever Sets are designed for medium-duty commercial and heavy-duty residential exterior and interior doors for offices, medical, public buildings, retail and government buildings. They feature cold-rolled steel and zinc dichromate finish for rust and corrosion resistance, independent spring mechanisms for outside and inside levers prevent lever sag, optional thru-bolt posts, and have a 3 Hour UL/ULC fire rating.

Sargent Grade 1 Lever Sets have a unique construction providing unequalled strength and durability for the most demanding applications such as schools and hospitals. They exceed the grade 1 cycle test requirements by 5 times, and the abusive locked lever torque without entry gained exceeds 1½ times the requirements.

Sargent Grade 2 Lever Sets exceed the grade 2 cycle requirements by 2½ times. The cylinder housing is steel with a zinc dichromate finish, wrought rose, and cast lever for a solid feel and precise lever action.

Schlage Grade 1 Lever Sets are precision manufactured to exact tolerances with independent heavy duty spring cages for effective lever support, thru-bolt mechanism for positive interlock to door, and free-wheeling lever eliminates the ability to stand or exert excessive force on the end of the lever to resist vandalism.

Schlage Grade 2 Lever Sets have true thru-bolting of door to prevent the lock chassis rotation and disengagement from the latch, stainless steel interlocking spindle design, have heavy-duty compression springs to extend the life of the spring cage, and are UL listed for up to 3-hour doors.
